Terms and Conditions for Business Advertisers
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Online Works Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”) and local businesses (“Advertiser”, “you”, or “your”) wishing to purchase and display advertisements on our websites. By choosing to advertise, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Advertising Plans and Content
- Advertising Plans: Various advertising plans are available, including display adverts, business news posts, and directory entries as shown on the Business Advertising page.
- Content Submission: You submit your business listing information using our online form which is available after payment. For display adverts, we will design each display advert for your approval before adding it to our websites. Advertisers are responsible for their advertisement content, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards. Please allow up to 7 days for submissions to become ‘live’ on the websites.
Payment and Subscription
- Payment Terms: Payment for advertisements must comply with the selected plan and is processed via Stripe to our account at Starling Bank.
- Subscription Basis: Advertisements can be paid on a monthly or annual basis, with automatic renewals.
- Renewal and Cancellation: Subscriptions are auto-renewed and can be changed or cancelled by contacting us at subscriptions@newspublisher.co.uk.
Liability and Indemnity

- Liability: We shall not be liable for any damages arising from your advertisements.
- Indemnity: You agree to indemnify us against any claims related to your ads.
Customer Supplied Images and Content
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that all images, logos, text, artwork and other material supplied to us for publication are owned by them, licensed for use, or used with the necessary permission.
By submitting images or other material, the Advertiser confirms that they have the right to use that material on our public websites and in advertising.
If any copyright, image licensing, privacy, trademark or other claim arises from material supplied by the Advertiser, the Advertiser agrees to take responsibility for resolving the matter and to reimburse Online Works Limited for any related costs, licence fees, settlement payments, damages, legal fees or other expenses.
We reserve the right to refuse, remove or replace any supplied image or material if we are unsure whether it can be safely published.
