The Adlington Folk Dance Club was founded in 1955 for English Country Dancing. We welcome beginners and visitors and you can come on your own. We encourage people to dance but if you would like to watch for a while before taking the plunge that’s OK too!!

A unique collection of over 180 gas and oil engines, many maintained in running order. Engine enthusiasts from all over the world come to visit this fascinating museum. The museum also has an enviable display of local history.

Bank Farm Riding School is a family run business that provides horse riding lessons for beginners and experienced riders across Stockport. Along with quality horse riding lessons, we conduct pony parties for kids.

Learning to dance with Ceroc is the fastest growing dance phenomenon in the country. With Ceroc you will learn all the skills anyone needs to know to enjoy dance. Our teaching method makes learning easy, sociable and fun.

As a cadet, young people have the opportunity to learn the basic skills of a firefighter while participating in a wide range of activities in and around the local fire station. Cadets also have the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications and awards including BTEC and Duke of Edinburgh awards.

NCPS meets in Poynton Civic Hall every Tuesday evening 7.30pm for 8.00pm from September to May. We are one of the most successful photographic clubs in the region and welcome new members, whether beginner or advanced photographer, to our Club.

We arrange a dynamic and interesting set of talks each month often with well known speakers. However, we also like to listen to budding Egyptologists. Our talks are informative and inspiring, delivered in a relaxed setting.

Poynton Ceilidhs bring you high-energy dancing to some of the best ceilidh bands from the North West and beyond. Don’t worry if you’re new to ceilidh dancing, or a forgetful expert — each evening will feature a caller who will guide you through the dances.
