The Essential English Centre is looking for Homestay hosts for International Students

Do you have a spare room to host an international student? The Essential English Centre is a British Council-accredited English language school in Manchester city centre. We are currently looking for new homestay hosts to accommodate our students, to help them develop their speaking and listening skills and experience British culture outside of our classrooms.  You can earn from £130 to £180 per week per student.

The length of stay varies but commonly it is between 3 to 12 weeks.   Most students are 18+, with the typical age being 18 – 25, and come to school every weekday to study English during their stay.

We pay our hosts weekly, and full support is provided to you from our friendly team.

Basic Requirements:

• Willingness to embrace new students, have meals together and chat.
• Provide students with breakfast and dinner during the week and a light lunch at the weekends.
• Private furnished bedroom
• Have a direct route on public transport to the city (within one hour)
• Valid gas certificate and working smoke alarm(s)
