Poynton Relief Road – Notification of Chester Road Lane Closure – 25th March

Graham Group, the Principal Contractor working with Cheshire East Council and Stockport Borough Council on the
Poynton Relief Road project, have announced that they will be imposing a lane closure on the north
side of Chester Road, adjacent to the site compound.

Important Information

The lane closure will be managed by 2-way traffic lights and is essential to facilitate the delivery and
lifting into place of 2 precast bridge beams for the new Chester Road overbridge.  The lane closure will be in place on Thursday 25th March for the duration of the bridge beams being lifted into place.

They are aware of the affect traffic disruption has on the local community and say they will only be imposing the lane closure for as long as is necessary.
