Sophie's Dream!

Sophie Howarth, a Year 6 pupil at Vernon Primary School in Poynton, is one of 10 budding authors to reach the final in Silentnight’s prestigious Book at Bedtime Competition. Whittled down from over 1,300 entries, Sophie, together with the other 9 finalists is anxiously waiting to see if she will be the overall winner for 2011.

Sophie aged 10, has a passion for penmanship and has written her own bedtime story called ‘Dream Makers’ about the Silentnight iconic duo, Hippo and Duck.

Head Teacher, Mrs Joanne Glimmerveen, said ‘This is a fantastic achievement and we are all extremely proud of Sophie. It would be wonderful if she could become the overall winner. We would like everyone to show their support for her and place their vote’.
