The bid, awarded by Cheshire East Council, supports these controversial plans following a thorough consultation with Poynton's residents.
The towns residents responded positively to plans for the new scheme, hoping that it will ease traffic flow in Poynton, improve areas for public access, and create a revitalised and fresh feel for Poynton.
