TOP AWARD FOR
Robert Branch of
Willmott Dixon Construction Limited
has been awarded the company’s ‘Top Site Manager for Health and Safety’ for the development work at
34 year old Mr Branch said ‘I am extremely proud to bring the Willmott Dixon top accolade for Health and Safety to Vernon Primary. This is a formidable achievement against some very tough competition. Willmott Dixon has the very highest standards of H&S in the industry and to be selected as the best is a real achievement.
We were competing against many high profile developments across the country, some with 10 times our budget. The award is based on the performance of our workforce who we try to employ locally. In fact 90% of the work force on site come from within a 20mile radius.’
Mr Branch continued ‘I would like to say a big thank you to the site team and to the school staff who have been incredibly supportive. The project is difficult as it is a live school site and we have an extremely close interface. The Head Teacher at Vernon Primary School, Mrs J Glimmerveen and her team have been fantastic and have done everything possible to allow the works to progress without hindrence’. Mrs Glimmerveen said ’We are thrilled that Robert Branch has won this award for the work he and his team have carried out at our school and we are extremely proud of our new building’
