Macclesfield Treacle Market – 26th June

Macclesfield is known as Treacletown, referring to the centuries old accident when a horse drawn wagon overturned, spilling its cargo of Treacle onto the cobbles. The Treacle Market is a chance to find gorgeous things on Macclesfield’s streets once again – Just less sticky.

Live music is back, starting at 11.30 in front of the Town Hall, and there is also a licensed bar.  The market will be back at full capacity on Market Place plus Mill St, Exchange St & Chestergate, along with the Butter Market, plus new stalls at the side of the Town hall.  As ever, a fabulous mix of high quality food, drink, craft & vintage.
