Further Update On Local Plan
While I understand that it is important for the Local Plan to be approved in the near future, in order to stop unwanted speculative developments across the Cheshire East borough, I am disappointed with aspects of the latest version of the Local Plan in relation to future impacts on the Green Belt locally. HSE Laboratory Visit Provides Bosley Investigation Update
I was updated on the progress being made on the investigation into the tragic explosion in Bosley last July, during a visit to the Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) Laboratory. Read more here.
Inaugural Social Enterprise Network Event Held In Macclesfield
Sixteen Social Enterprises and Charities took part in the first Social Enterprise Network Event held in Macclesfield Town Football Club on Thursday 7th April. The event was initiated by Enterprising Macclesfield and Canalside The Thread to provide a forum and a voice for Social Enterprises and charities in the Macclesfield area. Read more here.
Marathon Man Ben Returns To Macclesfield For 401 Challenge
Ben Smith, the man who is running 401 marathons on consecutive days for anti-bullying charities was given a warm welcome on his return to Macclesfield by myself and members of ten local schools, for the 224th leg of his incredible challenge. Read more here.
Heartstart Gives Local Pupils Headstart In Lifesaving
I gave my support to the British Heart Foundation’s “Heartstart” programme, on a visit to Wincle Primary School. Read more here.
