Lostock Rangers Ladies FC

We run regular training sessions twice weekly and we are looking for more ladies to take part. Our main aim is to be able to enter a team into a local league but at the moment we are just trying to drum up some more enthusiasm from the local community and build our team up with a view to our first friendly game in the next few months.

This is a great community based scheme, and it's just a £1 a session with no registration fee!

Training sessions are run twice weekly, Saturday morning 9.30am -11am and Wednesday evening from 7pm at Lostock Hall Primary School, Poynton.

The ladies and girls that currently come enjoy it so much and we literally have a ball T. The majority of the current members have not, until recently, attended regularly football training and only a few have ever played competitively so there is wide diversity of age, experience and ability where everyone is welcome.

With the emphasis on personal fitness and team work, Fit for Football is your fun way to get fit! This format is especially suitable for those women that want to increase their fitness with the aim of joining a team and playing football. Progress though Fit for Football and get the opportunity to play competitive 6 and 11 a-side-games.

Age range 15-50.

The Marionette Theatre Co.

Formally called the Poynton Junior Puppeteers, this group has been relocated and renamed as "The Marionette Theatre Co." This reflects our wider activities now that we take our theatre productions out to the audience.

We have workshop facilities off Coppice Road in Poynton and meet there weekly at 5:00pm every Wednesday. However we do have limited access to alternative premises if necessary.

Just like the live theatre, our productions require scenary, songs, scripts and music composition. The actors are string puppets that are brought alive by the skill of the operators.

We have a mix of all ages but always need new members to be able to accept an increasing number of invitations.

Poynton Round Table

Poynton Round Table is a bunch of 18-45 year old lads (currently about 20 of us) who meet twice a month to do stuff you wouldnâ?Tt normally do, e.g. Indoor Skydiving, Flight Simulator, Zorbing, Karting, etc, and sometimes things you might normally do, such as go to the Pub, Meals out, Mountain Bike, etc.

The members of Round Table come from all walks of life and join for a variety of reasons - perhaps as to getaway from the stress of a busy life, or as a way of participating in the local community, or just for the laughs and fun. It is, of course, an ideal way for those who have moved into a new area to find new friends of a similar age.
